Functions at The Sandbar, Praa Sands
At the Sandbar, we have an enviable south facing coastal location with outstanding views across the bay, both from the lounge and our beachfront terrace. We can cater for weddings, receptions, wakes, christenings, birthday parties or any special occasion in our relaxed and contemporary “Beachside Lounge”.
Our friendly, professional team all enjoy preparing and serving great, fresh food in an informal & relaxed atmosphere with catering for up to 100 buffet guests and up to 70 guests for an informal sit-down meal, which start at £19.00 per head.
We Will Do All That We Can To Ensure That Your Special Day Goes Smoothly
The Sandbar has it’s own P.A system and we are happy to organise DJ’s or bands to suit your taste. Alternatively, if you prefer you can book your own entertainment with our prior consent.
We are happy to help organise decorations, helium balloons, flowers etc & your requirements can be discussed with your booking.
A wedding to remember
My brother recently got married at the Sandbar and I have to say, from the food to the service, the decor to the wonderful friendly manageress Rosie, I couldn’t recommend this place more. The day was faultless, we had an amazing time. The weather was fantastic so we had photos on the beach and most of the evening was spent outdoors on the terrace. We spent two evenings here on the lead up to the wedding and also lunch, the day after. Food is excellent, staff are welcoming, friendly and polite.This place is a credit to Praa Sands, we will be back!
A really good service
Held our 50th wedding anniversary get together for 26 people on a hot Friday evening in the middle of August. The place was fully booked but the food came out on time and was enjoyed by all. No hassle – for us – we had a very great evening. The staff were excellent.
Fantastic wedding venue!
We recently had our wedding reception at the Sandbar and it was a fantastic venue. Many of our guests commented on how lovely it was with the beautiful sea view. Rosie and Jess were brilliant in the organising, and set up all our decorations for us beautifully before the wedding. The food was amazing we had the buffet menu and there was loads of variety. Our Gluten free guests were also catered for specially and everything was carefully labelled. Would definitely recommend!
